FSP vs. FPP: AREN’T THEY THE SAME?

No, FSP and FPP are not the same, but it’s a common question.
Fire Protection Plans (FPP) and Fire Safety Plans (FSP) share the same architectural floor plans and fire safety information, but have distinct goals. Think of an FPP as the building’s fire safety hardware. It demonstrates that the building has met all fire safety and life-saving requirements. FSP, by contrast, functions more like fire safety software. It establishes detailed plans for the building’s emergency response procedures, including what actions will be taken by building personnel.
